They collect the nectar from the apple, pear, cherries, plum and mulberry trees and break it down to be stored in the hive for the winter. The bees are so productive that they can produce many times more than what they need. So we take off any extra honey they don’t need. Ensuring to leave them with plenty to get them through the winter.
